Caitria Gunter is a mixed media artist working primarily with fabric, wax, paper, and plant matter to respond abstractly to growth and decay in nature as well as ephemeral natural phenomena. She received her BFA in Crafts/Fibers from the University of the Arts in 2012 and then spent four years living in the mountains of Colorado, which greatly influenced her work upon returning to Philadelphia in 2016. Her artwork has been in Philadelphia venues such as the Plastic Club and the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, exhibited in group shows in the US, and displayed abroad in Gimpo, South Korea, and in Kherson, Ukraine. She currently lives and works in West Philadelphia, PA.
